Enter Fall....

As the sun starts hybernating for a few months it’s time to hunker down and get busy. I’m really excited to have launched my music school: The Serena Eades Academy of Music and have welcome 3 wonderful teachers into the fold. We offer violin/fiddle and piano lessons (group and private) in Roberts Creek and Sechelt (on the Sunshine Coast…for now!).

I’m also excited to be playing some fun shows with Forro Do Cana - a super fun project dedicated to playing the music of North Eastern Brasil. And I’ll be joining renowned harpist Janelle Nadeau for a winter tour throughout western Canada.

Of course, not to mention numerous dates with Delhi 2 Dublin!

Time to get busy! See you out there!

Hot Hot Hot - tour time coming up!

Well it's been a super fun and diverse summer so far, and it's only halfway done!  I had the opportunity to play fiddle for both The Paperboys (Vancouver icons of celtic/folk/pop/rock for 26 years), and Locarno (Son Jarocho, Cumbia, Forro) while their fiddler Kalissa Hernandez took a quick break to have a beautiful little baby!  I also got to play with Israeli guitarist/pianist/composer Itamar Erez which was a super challenging and fun ride.  I did a couple shows with my Capoeira Ache Brasil crew, and threw in a couple weddings just to mix it up.  Now it's time to hit the road for 2 weeks in the Midwest/South/West Coast United States with Delhi 2 Dublin.  It's been a while but I'm sure we remember how to pack, and throw down!  Stay cool out there!

Spring is here! (maybe)

Hi folks, I'm riding a bit of a high today as we (Delhi 2 Dublin)(yes - it's a "2" NOT "to"....got it?)(and it's "Delhi"...not "Dehli", not "Deli" - we won't make your sandwich - even though "deli" is how it's pronounced rather than "del-hi" or "del-high")....anyways - after some fun shows in Chico, CA (which culminated in a visit to an underground mozaic'ed aquarium with a pole - yes I tried it - yes I liked it, a turkey named Peeping Tom and a pig named Olive), and Tahoe, NV (no gambling was done) we had the great honour of playing at San Francisco's history and legendary "Fillmore."  Being on a stage that has been graced by the likes of Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Jerry Garcia, Willie Nelson and sooooo  many more timeless and legendary artists was humbling and thrilling.  I returned home with a piece of the chandelier (thanks to the merch lady who threw a dog toy into it) and a full heart.  This bucket list crossing-off is addictive.

And next up is a hometown show at Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom - another important and super exciting show on April 14th.  Although it'll be my second time playing there it bears no less impact and I will be practicing all week to make it count!

New year....

I'm excited to start the year off with some interesting and fun things...doing some fiddle-actor doubling in a TV series (not allowed to say what it is yet, but should be a "flashy" continuation of my on-camera career;-) Followed by some Western Canadian shows with Delhi 2 Dublin and digging back into some choro and forro.
